Capari-Cani

A Cry for Freedom

What We Do

From the highlands of the Andes to the rising skyscrapers, the search for individual freedom and spiritual peace has been common to all men and women throughout the centuries. This is Capari-Cani's mentality; a voice of generations inspired on the ancient sounds of the Incas.

The ensemble dedicates most of its time to the study of rythms, instruments and sounds which are part of the Andean traditional music; and whose unique sound and style has taken them to many concert halls, universities and festivals across the United States. The group implements western arrangements and techniques to some of the traditional melodies and the group's original compositions.

Music of the Andes

Our First Project

MUSIC OF THE ANDES is our first project and was recorded during the winter of 1995.It was released in the U.S. in April of 1995 and in some Latin American countries later on that year.

To our surprise this CD turned out to be a hit in Ecuador, where four (4) of our very own compositions were among the "most requested songs in 1995".

We are very proud to bring our work to you. We hope you find in it, a source of imagination, cultural roots, mythical dreams, love and peace.

Capari-Cani represents the mix of Andean and love music giving to their creations a voice that touches the soul
